«Billa Bricks» Mobile Loyalty App

Billa is a supermarket chain in Europe and Russia, owned by the German company REWE Group. REWE Group is the fourth largest trading company in Europe, has more than 13 thousand trading floors and more than 300 thousand employees.

Challenge

Create an interactive loyalty program using AR\VR technologies to attract and retain

Solution

Buying goods in a supermarket, the user received a set of stickers with the AR\VR code, as well as a design part, such as a shop window, a grocery cart, or a toy character.

Using the Billa Bricks mobile application, the buyer gets access to his virtual store with the same details, but in a virtual dimension. Discovering new details, new mini-games appear in the application.

In addition, with the help of VR technology, you can move into the store itself and see how it is set up, how physical details end up in the virtual store.

Result

The application was used by more than 20,000 users, including brand new customers. The involvement and loyalty of existing customers increased, which was reflected in a 3.2% increase in sales.

The loyalty program not only attracted customers to the store, but also stimulated them to make purchases.
